Brass Thermowells

A thermowell’s main purpose is to protect the temperature sensor to insure long life and accurate measurement. Maintenance is aided by allowing the sensor to be removed without having to drain the pipe or tank. Thermowell is closed-end reentrant tube designed for the insertion of a temperature-sensing element and provided with means for a pressure-tight attachment to a vessel. Thermowell with Flange as process connection are preferred for application where the media is corrosive and frequent replacement of the sensor is required without process shutdown.
